KNOCK DOWN REBUILD: RUBY NEARS COMPLETION

KNOCK DOWN REBUILD: RUBY NEARS COMPLETION

The Ruby prototype, the latest Homestead Homes’ luxury home in Roma Road, St Ives, is now only 8-10 weeks from completion.

The Ruby is a five-bedroom lifestyle home for growing families, and features multiple living areas, outdoor alfresco living area and an integrated pool.

Gyprocking and wet-area waterproofing has been completed, and the kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities have been installed. Tiling of the wet areas and floors has commenced, and will continue for around two weeks. On completion of the tiling, the stone kitchen benchtops, glass splashbacks and shower screens can be fitted.

With completion in sight, the professional landscapers will start landscaping, with an emphasis on a low-maintenance lawn and garden.

Starting with the rear yard and outdoor alfresco area, the landscaping team will lay turf, construct retaining walls and garden beds, and start planting to ensure the garden is well-established by the time the home is completed.

Having built many homes in the St Ives area, the Homestead Homes building van is a familiar sight on the upper North Shore. Since demolition of the old weatherboard cottage started in August 2013, many neighbours have called in to see the Ruby’s progress and chat to Homestead’s onsite team about the building process.

With the shortage of land in the Sydney basin, knock down rebuild has become increasingly popular for families seeking a new home in an established area. Homestead Homes is a custom home builder, and can design and build a home for your current block, often for less than the cost of renovating or buying and selling. We can even demolish your existing house to ensure the site is left in optimal condition for construction of your new home.
