KNOCK DOWN REBUILD: INTRODUCING RUBY

KNOCK DOWN REBUILD: INTRODUCING RUBY

In early 2013, Homestead Homes decided to expand our range of display homes to meet increased market demand. We designed the ‘Ruby’, a five bedroom lifestyle home for growing families.

With many of our existing homes already located on the upper North Shore, we identified a site in Roma Road, St Ives as the ideal site for our new ‘Ruby’ prototype. This rare 1,670 sq. metre site had a 55 year-old weatherboard home that no longer met the needs of growing families, making it ideal for knock-down rebuild.

Demolition of the existing house commenced in August 2013. We look forward to market feedback following completion of the ‘Ruby’, and will use this feedback when building the ‘Ruby’ display home in Kellyville in mid 2014.

Knock down rebuild is increasingly popular in Sydney due to the shortage of available land in sought-after areas. Knocking down the existing house and building a new house on the block allows families to remain in the area they love as well as have a brand new home designed specifically for their needs. The new ‘Ruby’ is being built with an integrated pool, which is popular with families seeking to knock down rebuild in Sydney.
