The Ruby, Homestead Homes’ latest luxury prototype home, has now been rendered and painted.
Rendering the brickwork allows for a greater colour choice than plain brick, with the Ruby being painted in light, neutral tones, highlighted by the white window and door frames and contrasting with the dark tiled roof.
As all the “heavy lifting” has been finished, the building process now seems much faster. Following the summer break, the Ruby will have air conditioning, wiring and insulation installed, which should take around 10 days depending on the weather. The house will then be ready for gyprocking in early February and tiling from late February.
The Homestead Homes interior designer will take over in April, coordinating colours, textures, finishes and furniture. Landscaping will add the finishing touches to the Ruby, with a focus on a low-maintenance lawn and garden. The rear outdoor alfresco area will also be landscaped and pool fencing installed to ensure the pool area is safe.
The Ruby has been designed to accommodate a growing family, with five bedrooms, three living areas and substantial outdoor alfresco area. With this in mind, the Ruby has substantial built-in storage, including a walk-in linen closet, butler’s pantry adjoining the kitchen, and built-in wardrobes in each bedroom. There’ll be no excuse for the kids’ rooms to be messy!
