NEW RUBY – FOUNDATIONS & FRAMES

Custom Home Under Construction

Despite the recent rain and storms across Sydney, custom home builder Homestead Homes is on track with construction of the new Ruby display home at Butler Avenue, Kellyville. Following completion, the house will be Homestead Homes’ office and primary display home.

The Ruby is a five bedroom luxury family home with multiple living areas, an expansive outdoor alfresco area and an integrated pool. The Ruby’s pool wraps around the family and dining areas at the rear of the house and a swimming lane runs along the side boundary towards the front of the site.

Site access required that construction of the pool commence prior to the house, and the pool has since been excavated, poured and sprayed.

Following construction of the pool, the Ruby’s concrete slab was poured, with concrete smoothed off in preparation for the erection of the ground floor frame.

With the frame in place, steel supports are placed via crane to allow for an open first floor plan. The first floor frames were then erected. House frames require very strong timber as well as load-bearing steel posts to support the weight of the second floor frame and brickwork.

An entertainer’s delight, the Ruby includes formal and informal living areas, gourmet kitchen with butlers pantry, home office or study and a large guest suite on the ground floor. The five bedrooms are separated from the living areas, occupying the first floor.
