KNOCK DOWN REBUILD: RUBY TAKES SHAPE

KNOCK DOWN REBUILD: RUBY TAKES SHAPE

The latest Homestead Homes luxury home, the ‘Ruby‘ is on track despite Sydney’s recent rainy weather. With the brickwork underway on the ground floor, the Ruby is definitely taking shape. Even with the team taking a well-earned summer break, we’re on track to complete in early 2014.

The Ruby’s pool surface provides a stable surface for the scaffolding alongside the property boundary, even allowing for the gentle slope from back to front of the block.  Following completion of the ground floor brickwork, the scaffolding will be raised to complete the brickwork on the first floor. Once the bricks are laid, they’ll be cleaned to remove any excess mortar.

Following the brickwork, the Ruby’s roof will be tiled, and the exteriors partially rendered and bagged. Rendering has been a very popular finish for new homes over the past 5-10 years as it allows a greater choice of colour than plain brick facing.

The Ruby’s integrated pool is accessed via the alfresco area at the rear of the home. This spacious covered outdoor living area flows through to the open plan family and dining areas and the luxurious kitchen. This integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces is increasingly popular with families, and creates a private resort style retreat without leaving home.

Homestead Homes are custom home builders and can design and build your family’s new dream home. If your old house no longer meets your family’s needs, consider the benefits of knock down rebuild on your existing home site. You get the family home you really want in your current location, and often for less than the cost of renovating.
